Compare the card with the actual source

Keep the original page or image open while you read each generated question and answer. Check names, dates, symbols, units and words such as always or sometimes. In a photographed table, confirm that a value belongs to the correct row and column. If a passage is cropped or unreadable, obtain a clearer source rather than asking the model to fill the gap. Mark unanswered questions for follow-up instead of accepting a plausible guess.

Check whether the question tests the intended idea

An answer may be factually reasonable yet unrelated to your lesson’s objective. Compare the card with the chapter heading, teacher’s instructions or syllabus item. If the source compares two processes, a definition of only one process may not cover the task. Remove duplicate prompts and separate cards that ask several unrelated things. For a worked calculation, preserve the assumptions and method rather than turning one example’s final number into a universal answer.

Keep a repair trail

Record the source reference and a short correction note for a questionable card. For example, write that the original states a distance in meters, while the draft used centimeters. Fix the units and reconsider the answer, not just the spelling. Recheck cards made from the same difficult page when one extraction error appears. You can ask an assistant for another explanation, but settle factual disagreements with the original material or an appropriate instructor, not a majority vote among generated answers.

Take it with you

  • Compare every new draft with readable source material.
  • Check relevance as well as factual details.
  • Correct related cards when a shared source causes errors.
